Kallmet is a native authocton grape variety that has been growing in north Albania 1400 years b.c since the Ilirian period.Kallmet grapes are known to produce a quality red wine and is known as the best grape for red wine in Albania. Our winery collaborates with small vineyards not more then 1 hectar and is totally hand-harvested with great care for optimal quality. The grapes are then transported carefully in the winery to begin the vinification processes.Uka Winery has developed in 15 years of experience the best techniques of vinification for this grape variety in order to extract the best components of the wine. Our collaboration with over 200 families of vineyard ers all over Albania brings us in many territories from North, South, East and West Albania finding the best grapes for a quality wine. Our main vision is to reconnect the sector winemaking in Albania by motivating the vineyard ers to collaborate together with one vision, quality.
The idea of connecting them together was to blend all the different grape varieties all together and produce a wine wich will give you Albania in a bottle.
UDHA is the old term of the PATH. The path that we do all aver albania dicovering organic vineyards and blending them together to give you the taste of our land.
